Brownie in a Mug Recipe

A quick chocolate fix when you need it, without making a big mess or having leftovers to tempt you. ;)

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons Flour
  • 4 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Cocoa powder (Note: don't use cocoa mix or quik, it shouldn't have any sugar)
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil (Don't use one with a strong flavor, eg olive, sesame, etc)
  • 2 Tablespoons Water
  • Dash of salt
  • small handful of chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, or a little of both

Directions

  1. In the mug, mix the dry ingredients together
  2. then add the wet and stir just until combined
  3. drop the chocolate chips in, and fold the sides of the batter up over the chocolate chips so they are covered in the middle
  4. microwave for about 1 minute, keeping an eye on it so they don't over cook. cook a few seconds less for a more gooey brownie, cook a few seconds longer for drier, more cake like brownies
