Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter -- softened
  • 4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 4 x Large eggs
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 7 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking soda

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Add in Large eggs, water, and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour, cream of tartar, and baking soda; add in to the creamed mix and mix well. Shape into three rolls; wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate4 hrs or possibly overnight. Cut rolls into 1/4-inch slices; place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 min or possibly till lightly browned.
