Ingredients
- 50 gm Butter, (2oz)
- 3 x Bay leaves, crumbled (3 to 4)
- 750 ml Water, about (1 1/4pints)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 375 gm Long-grain brown rice, (12oz)
Directions
- Heat the butter with the bay leaves in a large, heavy saucepan over a low heat.
- Add in the water and salt and bring to the boil.
- Add in the rice, cover tightly and turn the heat to low.
- Cook for 45 min, or possibly till all the water has been absorbed and the rice is just tender adding more water if necessary.
