Broccoli In Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

  • 20 ounce Pk frzn broccoli spears
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Grated lemon peel
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd ginger

Directions

  1. Cook broccoli in a shallow, heat-resistant, non- metallic, 1 1/2-qt baking dish. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small, heat-resistant, non-metallic bowl heat butter or possibly margarine in Microwave Oven 30 seconds.
  3. Blend in flour with a fork till smooth. Gradually stir in lowfat milk. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 1 minute or possibly till thickened and smooth.
  4. Gradually stir in lemon peel and juice so which the mix does not curdle. Stir in salt and ginger till well blended.
  5. Spoon sauce over liquid removed broccoli spears. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 1 to 2 min or possibly till heated through.
