Brer Rabbit Molasses Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. baking molasses
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Heat shortening and cold. Add in sugar, molasses and Large eggs; beat well. Sift flour, salt and spices; add in to first mix. Chill. Form into small ball. Roll in white sugar and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees 8 to 10 min.
