Ingredients

  • 2 c. lowfat buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 c. wheat germ
  • 1 c. white flour
  • 1/3 c. raisins

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix first five ingredients till smooth. In separate bowl, mix flours, wheat germ, and raisins. Combine mixtures and mix well. Pour into 9x5x3" loaf pan. Lower oven temp. to 350 and bake for 1 hour. Cold and wire rack and store 1 day before slicing.
