Sometimes you need to have a quick meal that you can prepare without too much fuss or hassle. For me that has to be pizzas. I have a bread maker and so use that to make the pizza dough. It takes me about 5 minutes to weigh out the ingredients and get the container into my bread maker and then the bread maker takes 50 minutes to transform the flour and water into dough. The only effort required on my part is to roll out the dough, add the toppings and ‘throw’ it into the oven. I find that pizzas are really child friendly, and you can put out the toppings out in order for them to pick and choose what they want. Last Sunday I needed to make a snack platter and had a lot of left over pizza dough. I made two pizzas and Dave and I shared both of them. It worked quite well as the pizza was still quite hot when I got the last bite of the first one, and the second one was nearly ready to come out of the oven. I chose simple toppings for our Sunday pizza lunch – tomatoes, mushrooms and proscuitto.

Ingredients:

Method:

Place the ingredients into your bread maker in the order listed above, from the water to the yeast

Select the dough - pizza setting

Preheat the oven to 200° Celsius with a pizza stone in the oven if you have one

Once proved remove the dough from the bread maker and divide in two

Roll out on a lightly floured surface, as thin as you would like the crust

Place the dough onto baking paper

Add your toppings

Place onto the pizza stone and bake for 15 minutes
