Ingredients
- 6 quarts. sliced cucumbers
- 2 med. white onions, sliced
- 2 green peppers, minced
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/2 c. salt
- 5 c. sugar
- 3 c. cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 2 tbsp. mustard seed
Directions
- Slice cucumbers. Add in onions, peppers, and whole clove garlic. Add in salt; cover with cracked ice. Mix thoroughly. Let stand 3 hrs; drain well. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over cucumber mix. Heat just to a boil. Seal in warm sterilized jars. Process 15 min. Makes 8 pints.
