Ingredients
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 c. chocolate chips
Directions
- Cream together the sugar and shortening. Add in beaten egg and vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; stir them in a little at a time and beat well. Mix in chocolate chips. Form into small balls. Place on greased cookie sheet about 3 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 min. Makes about 36 cookies.
