Brats, Cauliflower & Bow Ties Recipe

  • 1 (1 1/4 lb) package of Johnsonville Brats (Bratwurst), cut into pieces
  • 1 head cauliflower, cored and cut into florets
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups of beef or vegetable broth
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 Tablespoon parsley
  • a shake of red pepper flakes
  • salt
  • olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Gravy Master for color (optional)
  • 1 box of bow tie pasta (farfalle)

Directions

  1. Prepare pasta according to directions. Drain
  2. In a large skillet, brown pieces of Brats until almost cooked through
  3. Remove and put into a bowl
  4. Put cauliflower in skillet with a drizzle of olive oil and cook for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and garlic powder
  5. Add 1/2 cup of broth
  6. Cook 5 minutes
  7. Add onion
  8. Cook 10 minutes until cauliflower begins to soften
  9. Add bratwurst back into skillet along with remaining broth and parsley
  10. Cover and simmer until cauliflower is cooked through
  11. Ladle pasta into skillet
  12. Add Gravy Master for color and red pepper flakes
  13. Mix well
