Ingredients
- 1 (18 ounce) pkg. chocolate cake mix
- 1 (3 1/2 ounce) pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 4 large eggs
- 3/4 c. brandy
- 3/4 c. veg. oil
- 1 (6 ounce) pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 c. cool whipping cream
- 1/4 c. brandy
Directions
- Put together cake mix, pudding mix, nutmeg, large eggs, brandy, and oil. Mix with an electric mixer on low speed till smooth, 1 minute. Then at medium speed for 3 min.Pour into 3 greased and lightly floured 8 inch round cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min or possibly till toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
- For icing, prepare pudding mix using whipping cream. Add in the brandy. Spread 1/3 of icing on first layer, 1/3 on second and remainder on top layer.
- Top may be garnished with 10x sugar through lace doily, strawberries, chocolate shaving, or possibly however you wish.
