%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20fitness%20trainer%20suggested%20that%20he%20follow%20a%20specific%20%E2%80%98diet%E2%80%99.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeing%20a%20good%20femme%20I%20adapted%20my%20cooking%20style%20accordingly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20was%20supposed%20to%20eliminate%20all%20fats%20and%20salt%E2%80%A6..%20Which%20forced%20me%20to%20get%20somewhat%20creative.%20This%20recipe%20was%20a%20standby%20that%20summer,%20made%20without%20oil%20or%20salt.%20I%20added%20the%20tomatoes%20for%20moisture%20since%20I%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20use%20my%20other%20kitchen%20staple%20of%20chicken%20broth%20and,%20with%20no%20oil%20or%20butter,%20water%20seemed%20a%20bit%20boring.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20actually%20liked%20the%20dish%20a%20lot.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20it%E2%80%99s%20better%20with%20oil%20and%20butter%E2%80%A6.%20and%20a%20dash%20of%20Balsamic%20vinegar.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBraised%20Green%20Beans%20with%20Tomatoes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETotal%20time:%2030%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20oil%20and%20butter%20in%20nonstick%20skillet%20over%20medium%20heat.%20%20Add%20shallot%20and%20saut%C3%A9%20until%20tender%20and%20transparent.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20beans,%20cover,%20reduce%20heat%20to%20low%20and%20simmer%2010%20%E2%80%93%2015%20minutes,%20until%20beans%20are%20tender%20and%20done.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20tomatoes,%20cover%20and%20cook%20a%20few%20minutes%20longer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStir%20in%20vinegar,%20basil%20and%20serve.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMon%20mari%20did%20not%20last%20long%20on%20that%20suggested%20diet.%20He%20did,%20however,%20keep%20up%20with%20the%20health%20club%20membership.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20took%20the%20dogs%20to%20the%20vet,%20yesterday,%20for%20their%20annual%20shots.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20were%20sort%20of%20well-behaved.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20had%20Guapa%20and%20mon%20marie%20had%20Bonnie.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENeither%20dog%20bit%20any%20of%20the%20other%20humans%20or%20tried%20to%20eat%20any%20of%20the%20other%20animals.%20They%20didn%E2%80%99t%20even%20really%20tug%20at%20their%20leashes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20just%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20/%20wouldn%E2%80%99t%20calm%20down.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%E2%80%99d%20tell%20them%20to%20sit%20and%20they%20would%20sit%E2%80%A6.%20For%20about%20a%20nanosecond.%20It%20was%20like%20they%20were%20spring-loaded.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20I%20told%20them%20to%20%E2%80%98down%E2%80%99%20the%20front%20paws%20immediately%20slide%20out%20in%20front%20of%20them%20(like%20good%20dogs)%20but%20would%20continue%20sliding%20across%20the%20floor%20to%20attempt%20to%20check%20out%20the%20cat%20in%20the%20cage.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%E2%80%99d%20tell%20them%20to%20sit%20and%20they%20would%20%E2%80%93%20just%20a%20few%20inches%20closer%20to%20the%20nice%20human%20with%20the%20mama-dog.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20weren%E2%80%99t%20actually%20bad%20dogs,%20just%20squirmy,%20wriggly,%20bouncy,%20crying%20and%20yelping%20dogs%20that%20kept%20their%20respective%20humans%20very%20vigilant.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20were%20very%20good%20when%20we%20finally%20got%20to%20see%20the%20doctor.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20kept%20getting%20things%20out%20of%20a%20cabinet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20just%20like%20the%20cabinet%20we%20keep%20dog%20treats%20in.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20finally%20realized%20they%20were%20poised%20for%20chewies.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELast%20update%20on%20August%206,%202014%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
