Bourbon Glazed Ham

Do you like ham? Do you like booze? Then this recipe is for you. It might take a little longer than most of our meals, but trust us, it will come out delicious. Whether it’s actually delicious ham or the bottle of whiskey that disappears by the time it’s done cooking, either way, you will enjoy it thoroughly!

Ingredients

  • 8 pound precooked smoked ham
  • olive oil
  • minced garlic
  • honey
  • pineapples
  • juice from canned pineapples
  • bourbon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Score the ham
  3. Heat oil in sauce pan
  4. Brown 1 heaping tablespoon of minced garlic
  5. Add pineapple juice from a 20 ounce can of pineapple slices and a squirt of honey and 1/3 cup of bourbon
  6. Reduce for 15 minutes into a nice syrup
  7. Insert ham into oven while glaze is reducing
  8. Once the glaze is ready, spread it across the ham
  9. Add 1/2 inch of water to the baking pan to scoop and reuse glaze
  10. Cook ham for 2 hours, adding more glaze as you feel necessary.
  11. Lay slices of pineapple over the ham for the last 20 minutes
