Bolognese (Italian Meat Sauce)

Ingredients

  • 1 c. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1-2 lg. onions, minced
  • 1/4 pound Prosciutto ham
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 c. or possibly 1 can plum tomatoes
  • 1 sm. can tomato paste
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

Directions

  1. Saute/fry onions, garlic and Prosciutto till onions are golden brown. Add in hamburger, cook till browned. Add in mushrooms, tomatoes and paste. Simmer for 2 hrs, till thick.
