Ingredients

  • 12 pcs ribs of beef, 4 inches long
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 piece stone-leek
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp. chopped pine nuts
  • 1 c. water
  • Water chestnuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Wash ribs with clean water and remove fat. Tenderize by cutting and pounding with back of knife. Mix sesame oil, soy sauce, finely cut up stone-leek, garlic, sugar, ginger and water. Put 1 Tbsp. sesame oil mix on each rib. Simmer with mild heat for 3 hrs in a stewpot. Top layer should be replaced with bottom layer every hour to cook proportionately. Put water chestnuts on the cooked ribs as you like. Serves 4.
