Directions

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients and beat well. In large, heavy saucepan or possibly Dutch oven, 4- to 5-qt, make a layer of half the cabbage and spread half the meat mix on top. Add in potatoes, spread with remaining meat mix and top with remaining cabbage. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat, cover and simmer very slowly 45 min, or possibly till potatoes are very tender. Garnish with carrots around edges and parsley in center. Makes 6 servings.
