Ingredients

  • 4 ounce mince (beef) Small onion minced
  • 1/2 sm cooking apple minced
  • 1/2 ounce butter
  • 10 whl almonds, roughly minced
  • 1/2 x level tsp warm curry pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 x dessertspoonful lemon juice
  • 1 lrg egg
  • 2 1/2 fl ounce ounce ounce. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 ounce bread without crusts Salt/pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300F/150C/gas mark 2
  2. Heat butter in heavy frying pan and soften onion and apple for 10 mins. Stir in almonds, turn up heat and add in mince.
  3. Cook to colour for 5 min, stirring. Add in curry pwdr, sugar, lemon juice, seasoning and cook for a few min more. Meanwhile, whisk Large eggs and lowfat milk together, pour half mix onto bread in a basin and soak for 5 mins. When soft, beat well and add in to meat mix.
  4. Put in 1 pint ovenproof dish, pour on rest of lowfat milk mix and bake for 45 mins.
