Blueberry Slump Recipe

  1. Slump: combine blueberries, water, 3/4 c. sugar and butter, in 2 to 3-qt covered sauce pan. Bring to a boil and simmer. Mix remaining ingredients to make stiff batter. Spoon over warm mix as for dumplings. Cover tightly and simmer 12 min. Don't uncover during cooking. Serve warm with fresh cream or possibly lowfat sour cream.
  2. Baked slump: combine blueberries, water, 3/4 c. sugar and add in to greased 2-qt casserole. Bake in preheated 400F oven till mix simmers. Make topping by blending dry ingredients, cutting in butter and adding lowfat milk. Spoon over warm berries. Bake for 20 min. Serve warm with fresh cream or possibly ice cream.
  3. Sprinkle with cinnamon if you like.
