Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce.) can pear halves in juice, undrained
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 c. fresh or possibly frzn blueberries, thawed
  • Cooking spray
  • 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/3 c. skim lowfat milk
  • 2 teaspoon sugar

Directions

  1. Drain pears, reserving 3/4 c. liquid. Chop pears and set aside. Combine 3 Tbsp. sugar and cornstarch in a medium saucepan and stir well. Stir in reserved liquid and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and gently stir in minced pears and blueberries. Spray an 8 inch square baking dish with cooking spray. Spoon mix into baking dish. Combine flour, sugar, baking pwdr in a medium bowl and stir well. Add in lowfat milk, stirring just till ingredients are moistened. Drop mix by tablespoonfuls over fruit mix and sprinkle with sugar. Place in preheated 400 degree oven and bake for 20 to 25 min till golden.
