Directions

  1. Place nuts and dates in mixing bowl and sprinkle with soda. Add in the boiling water, sugar, egg, and flour; mix well. Add in oil and vanilla; mix again.
  2. Turn batter into greased and floured bread loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
