  1. In a medium pot, stir together the cornstarch and 1/2 c. cool water till cornstarch is dissolved. Add in 2 c. sugar, lemon juice, and blackberries. Stir well. Transfer to a large skillet. In a large pot, combine 1 c. sugar, baking pwdr, flour, and salt. Blend in margarine till mix resembles coarse meal. Add in 1/2 c. boiling water and stir till it forms a dough. Bring the blackberry mix to a boil. Stir often to prevent scorching. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto the mix.
  2. Remove for stove and bake in cardboard oven at 400 for 20-25 min.
