Ingredients
- 8 ounce cooked black beans
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp onion pwdr
- 1/2 tsp garlic pwdr or possibly 1 1/2 Tbsp chopped garlic
- 3/4 c. matzo meal or possibly cracker crumbs
- 2 x Large eggs
- 2 x egg whites
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Â Â salsa
- Â Â shredded cheese
Directions
- Makes 6 5z. burgers
- 1) cook 8 ounce. of dry black beans (mash while warm)
- 2) mix with beans: 1tea. salt ,1/4 tea pepper, 2 tea. onion pwdr, 1/2 tea of garlic pwdr or possibly 1 1/2 tbls. chopped garlic, 3/4 c. matzo meal or possibly cracker crumbs, 2 Large eggs plus 2 whites, 1/2 tea. of Italian seasoning.
- 3)form into 3/4 inch thick patties. dip in egg white and sprinkle with more matzo meal saute/fry with Pam 4 minutes each side
- 4) put salsa and shredded cheese on top and put under broiler to heat cheese. each burger is 200 calories without salsa or possibly cheese
