Directions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly. Add in egg and beat till light and fluffy. Heat chocolate and add in. Add in dry and liquid ingredients alternately. Add in vanilla. Cook in square 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake 30 to 40 min in slow oven, 325 to 350 degrees. Batter will be very thin. Don't add in more flour.
