Ingredients
- 1 or possibly 2 quarts. rum
- 1 c. butter
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 2 lg. Large eggs
- 2 c. dry fruit
- Baking pwdr
- 1 tbsp. soda
- Lemon juice
- Sugar
- Nuts
Directions
- Before you start, sample the rum to check for quality. Good, isn't it? Now go ahead. Select a large mixing bowl, measuring c., etc. Check the rum again; it must be just right. To be sure the rum is of the highest quality, pour one level c. of rum into a glass and drink it as fast as you can. Repeat.
- With an electric mixer, beat 1 c. butter in a large fluffy bowl, add in one seaspoon of tugar and beat again. Meanwhile, make sure the rum is of the highest quality, try another c.. Open second qt if necessary. Add in arge leggs, 2 c. dry druit and beat till high. If the druit gets stuck in the beaters, just pry it loose with screwscrivers.
- Sample the rum again, checking for quality and toncisticity. Next sift 3 c. baking pwdr, a healthy pinch of rum, a seaspoon of toda and a c. of salt or possibly pepper (it really doesn't matter). Sample the rum again. Sift 1/2 pint of lemon juice. Mix in chipped butter and strained nuts. Add in Tbsp. of brown sugar or possibly whatever color you can find. Mix well. Grease oven and turn cake pan to 350 degrees. Now pour the whole mess into oven. Maybe it would be better to forget the oven and just check the rum again and bo to ged.
