Ingredients
- 12 fully cooked taco shells
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 2 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 1 c. shredded lettuce
- 1/2 c. natural sharp shredded Cheddar cheese
- Taco sauce, as desired
- 1 sm. can tomato sauce
- 1 c. minced tomatoes
Directions
- Heat taco shells as directed on package. Brown beef and onion in frying pan. Drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce and chili pwdr. Bring to boil. Reduce heat. Cook uncovered 10 to 15 min stirring occasionally till mix is dry and crumbly. Fill heated taco shells with approximately 2 Tbsp. meat mix. Mix tomatoes, lettuce and cheese. Spoon about 2 Tbsp. over beef in taco shells. Drizzle with taco sauce as desired.
