Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. dry sherry
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 8 ounce lean flank steak thinly sliced into 2" by 2" by 1/8 " (or possibly the leanest you can get)
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh garlic chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger chopped
  • 4 med onions cut into wedges
  • 2 stalk celery sliced diagonally into 1/4" pcs
  • 1/2 c. nonfat beef broth
  • 3 Tbsp. oyster sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp sugar

Directions

  1. Combine sherry & soy sauce. Add in beef to sauce and leave to marinate in a bowl for 20 - 30 mins (actually, overnight in the refrigerator is good).
  2. Heat wok for 2 min. Spray with PAM. Add in onions and celery. Stir fry until onions BEGIN to turn soft.
  3. Add in garlic & ginger. Stir fry for 30 secs to 1 minutes (do not burn it!). Add in beef. Stir fry for 30 secs. Add in oyster sauce, ketchup, sugar, stock. Stir it up until all heated and beef is cooked to own preference.
  4. Alternatively, brown beef in wok first. Remove from wok & set aside. Cook other ingredients as above, but without the beef. Add in the beef at the end, heat through and serve.
  5. This is great with rice or possibly noodles.
