Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 1 dsh nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 5 Tbsp. ice water
- 1 pkt dry peaches
- 1 pkt dry apricots
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
Directions
- Crust:Blend dry ingredients. Cut in Crisco, vinegar and water. Blend well to make the dough. Roll out dough balls to make 5 -inch circles. Put a large Tbsp. of filling on half of a circle. Fold over remaining half to make a half-moon shape. Seal edges. Fry in Crisco till brown.
- (These were kept well-hidden, and Bedford better not be around when you snuck one!).
- Filling:Cook till water is absorbed.
