Ingredients
- 1/4 pound bacon
- 1 pound seasoned bulk sausage
- 1 pound smoked sausage links, sliced
- 1 (16 ounce.) can red beans, liquid removed
- 1 (16 ounce.) can Great Northern beans, liquid removed
- 1 quart. tomatoes
- 2 celery stalks, sliced
- 2 carrots, sliced thin
- 1 tbsp. minced parsley
- 1 teaspoon dry basil
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
Directions
- Brown bacon till crisp in large heavy skillet. Remove bacon, set aside to cold, then break into pcs. Saute/fry pork sausage and links till brown, drain off all excess fat. Add in the rest of the ingredients. Cover and simmer for 25 min. Serve in bowls garnished with the crumbled bacon. Serves 8.
