A tangy, modern twist on an old classic. Don't hate on the Joe. These babies are delightful, especially when paired with fries!

Ingredients
- For the meat:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/2 green pepper, diced
- 1/2 red pepper, diced
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- slider rolls, for serving
- For the sauce:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp ground mustard
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp hot sauce
- 3/4 cup your favorite BBQ sauce

Directions
- Heat a large skillet on medium heat and melt Tbsp butter. Add onion and cook until fragrant, about 3 minutes. Add meat and cook for about 2 minutes before adding bell peppers and garlic. Continue to cook until meat is cooked through and drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Now itâs time to make sauce! Add the ketchup â BBQ sauce. Season with salt and pepper, as desired. Bring to a slight boil and then turn down to a simmer. Simmer for 15 â 20 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve on slider buns.
- These taste best when served with French fries and lots of ketchup. Itâs a known fact of life.
