Directions

  1. Set oven for 350 degrees. Grease 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Sift flour once, measure, add in baking pwdr and salt, sift again. Heat shortening and chocolate over warm water. Add in sugar gradually to Large eggs, beating thoroughly. Add in chocolate mix and blend. Add in flour and mix well; then fold in nuts and vanilla. Spread in greased pan; bake in preheated oven for 25 min. Cold in pan, then cut into squares.
  2. Makes 2 dozen brownies.
