  • 3 lbs. grnd beef
  • 2 c. quick oats, uncooked
  • 2 Large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 (13 ounce.) can evaporated lowfat milk
  • 2 c. finely minced onion
  • 2 teaspoon chili pwdr
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 4 c. catsup
  • 3 c. brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon garlic pwdr

Directions

  1. Combine grnd beef, oats, Large eggs, lowfat milk, 1 c. onion, chili pwdr, salt, pepper and 1/2 tsp. garlic pwdr, mixing lightly. Shape into balls the size of a walnut. Place meatballs into two 13x9 baking dishes.
  2. Combine catsup, brown sugar, 1 c. onion, liquid smoke and 1 tsp. garlic pwdr, stirring till smooth. Pour proportionately over meatballs and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
  3. To serve: Transfer to a chafing dish. Makes about 100 meatballs.
