Directions

  1. Put oil in a saucepan with onion flakes and garlic granules and cook gently for 2-3 min to brown lightly - don't allow to burn. Add in remaining ingredients, mixing the brown sugar with the mustard to break up lumps before adding to the pan. Bring to a simmer and simmer gently, uncovered, for 10 min, stirring occasionally. Cold and store in a sealed jar in refrigerator for up to 1 month.
  2. Use as a sauce or possibly baste for beef, burgers, sausages and meat loaf, or possibly as directed in recipes. It is excellent for beef or possibly pork ribs.
  3. Yield: 2 c.
