Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. barbecue sauce, divided
  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/3 c. finely minced onion
  • 1/4 c. minced green bell pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp. each: minced fresh parsley & minced fresh basil
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon each: dry thyme leaves & salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse grnd pepper

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix 1/4 c. barbecue sauce with all other ingredients. Shape into 7 x 3 inch loaf in 10 x 6 inch baking dish. Top with remaining barbecue sauce. Bake 45 min. Let stand 10 min before slicing. Makes 6 servings.
