Ingredients

  • 1 pound "Carolina" rice
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 can evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1 quart. lowfat milk
  • 1 c. sugar or possibly add in more or possibly less to taste
  • 1 lg. pkg. Jello instant pudding
  • Vanilla to taste
  • Raisins (optional)

Directions

  1. Boil rice in directed amount of water till almost tender. Can leave some water in. Turn to simmer. Then add in butter, can lowfat milk, lowfat milk, sugar and simmer 2 hrs. Remove from heat. Stir in dry pudding mix and vanilla. Add in raisins. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
