Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 c. oil
- 2 teaspoon garlic
- 4 bay leaves, crushed
- 2 teaspoon crushed rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 pound lg. shrimp (keep shell on)
Directions
- Serves 6-8 hungry adults. Serve with French bread and fresh green salad. If desired spicy cajun food this is for you.
- Get large saucepan and heat butter on medium heat. Add in oil and mix together all remaining ingredients except the shrimp. Cook sauce over medium heat till sauce begins to boil; stirring frequently reduce heat to low and cook for 7-8 min.
- Take off stove, cover and let sit for 30 min. Then add in shrimp and stir, put pan back on stove on medium heat for 6-8 min. Shrimp will begin to curl; remove from stove and place in 2 large baking dishes; put in oven and bake for 10 min at 450 degrees. Place in soup bowls and serve with lots of napkins.
