Banana Ice Cream (Prevention)

Ingredients

  • 2 lrg frzn bananas sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. skim lowfat milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 pch grnd nutmeg

Directions

  1. In a food processor or possibly blender, combine the bananas, sugar and 1/2 c. of the lowfat milk. Puree till smooth. Add in cinnamon, vanilla and remaining 1 c. lowfat milk. Puree till smooth.
  2. Transfer mix to a metal container. Cover and freeze for 4 hrs or possibly overnight. Remove from the freezer and break up the mix with a knife.
  3. Process briefly in a food processor or possibly blender.
  4. Return to the container, cover and freeze for at least 30 min before serving. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.
  5. Makes 4 servings.
  6. VARIATION _Berry-Banana Ice Cream_ Add in 1 c. frzn blueberries, strawberries or possibly raspberries along with the bananas.
