Ingredients

  • 1 lb loaf [ 1 1/2 Pound loaf ]
  • 1/2 c. + 1 Tbsp. [1/2 c.+2 Tbsp] lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. [3/4 c.] mashed banana
  • 2 c. [2 1/2 c.] bread flour
  • 1/4 c. [1/2 c.] Whole wheat flour
  • 1/3 c. [1/2 c.] minced nuts
  • 2 Tbsp. [ 3 Tbsps ] brown sugar packed
  • 3/4 tsp [1 tsp.] salt
  • 1/2 tsp [1/2 tsp.] grnd nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. [2 Tbsp butter or possibly margarine cut into 4 pcs
  • 1 1/2 tsp [ 2 tsp] Active Dry Yeast or possibly
  • 1 tsp [1 1/2 tsp.] fast rise yeast

Directions

  1. Add in lowfat milk and mashed banana to pan.
  2. Add in bread flour, whole wheat flour, minced nuts, brown sugar, salt and nutmeg to pan. Tap pan to settle dry ingredients, then level dry ingredients, pushing some of the flour mix into the corners. Place a piece of butter or possibly margarine into each corner of the pan on top of dry ingredients.
  3. Make a slight well in center of dry ingredients and add in the yeast.
  4. Place bread pan into oven chamber. Program bread select for either basic or possibly basic rapid and program bread color***.
  5. If making a 1 lb. loaf, use light or possibly medium bread color setting to prevent over-browning of the smaller loaf.
