  • 1 x (29 ounce) canned yams, liquid removed
  • 3/4 x - 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. orange juice. Preheat oven to 350 .

Directions

  1. Place yams in a shallow baking dish, a pie plate works well. Combine brown sugar, butter and orange juice in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour sauce over yams and bake at 350 for one hour.
  2. [] Seems to me one could cook fresh, peeled, cubed yams as usual, then put into the baking dish with the boiled sauce poured over them. Which would be less expensive and probably taste better - but would take more time. []
