Ingredients
- 1 can Tomato paste, (4 ounce.)
- 3 lrg Onions
- Â Â Margarine
- 1/2 c. Brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Dry mustard
- Â Â Salt and pepper
- 3 can Butter beans
- Â Â Bacon bits
- Â Â Seasoned dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. Grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
- Brown 3 large onions in margarine (about 1/4 c.). Add in 1 can of tomato paste and 1 can water. Mix 1/2 c. brown sugar with 1 Tbsp. dry mustard and add in salt and pepper to taste. Add in to the tomato-onion mix.
- Let simmer till thick. Place 3 cans of liquid removed butter beans in a casserole. Pour the tomato mix over the beans and mix with 2 Tbsp. bacon bits or possibly crumbled bacon and seasoned with bread crumbs
- (about 1/2 c. crumbs). Sprinkle with 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese over top and dot with butter or possibly margarine. Use lots of butter. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 min. Can microwave for about 10 min on High.
