  • 1 x boiled or possibly tenderized ham Cloves
  • 1/2 c. dry mustard
  • 1 c. brown sugar Water
  • 12 x bay leaves
  • 1 quart beer

Directions

  1. Remove most of the fat from the ham, then score the entire surface of the ham. Stick cloves over the entire surface of the ham, using the cloves generously. Next, mix a paste of 1/2 c. of dry mustard, 1 c. of brown sugar and sufficient water to bring the paste of the consistency ofEordinary prepared mustard. Smear the mustard paste over the outside surface of the hamEand fasten a dozen small bay leaves to the ham with toothpicks. Place ham in a roaster, pour in 1 qt of beer, cover and cook in a 350-degree oven for about 20 min per lb. of ham. (I don't use a 1 qt of beer. I use a can of beer and it is adequate.)
