Ingredients
- 12 slc bread, white
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 350 gm cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp pepper, black
- 3/4 tsp mustard, dry
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 x Large eggs
Directions
- May be prepared the day before.
- Trim crusts and cut bread into 2cm squares. Cut cheese into bite size pcs.
- In large greased casserole, alternate layers of bread and cheese. Pour melted butter over top.
- Beat Large eggs well, stir in salt, pepper, mustard and lowfat milk. Combine thoroughly. Pour over casserole.
- Cover and chill 30 min.
- One hour before serving, bake at 350 degrees, 30 min covered, then 30 min uncovered till top is golden brown and puffy.
