This is a simple and very delicious way of ending a meal, that will make the family or friends talk about for a long time.
Ingredients
- 3 firm, ripe bananas
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1/3 cup shredded coconut
- 2 tbsp. white sugar
- 2 tsp. cornflour
- Whipped cream or ice cream (optional)
Directions
- Peel the bananas and cut in half lengthwise and crosswise.
- Arrange in a shallow buttered baking dish.
- Combine the cornflour, white sugar and the orange juice and pour this over the bananas, coating well.
- Dot with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and coconut.
- Bake at 375 for 30 minutes, or until sauce is slightly thick and the bananas are tender.
- Serve topped with whipped cream, or ice cream, if desired.
