Ingredients

Cost per serving $0.08 view details
  • 6 x day-old bagels (preferably onion, sesame, rye or possibly other savory flavor)
  • 1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. onion pwdr
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic salt or possibly pwdr
  • 1 Tbsp. seasoned salt

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Line several baking sheets with foil.
  2. Slice the bagels crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick rounds or possibly planks. Arrange in a single layer on the baking sheets. Using a spray mister, lightly coat the tops with the extra virgin olive oil. (You also can brush on the oil with a pastry brush, but you'll need to use a bit more oil and the chips won't be as crisp.)
  3. Generously sprinkle the chips with equal amounts of the onion pwdr, garlic salt and seasoned salt.
  4. Bake till crisp and cracker-like, 45 min. Store in a tightly covered container for up to a week.
  5. This recipe yields 12 servings.
