  1. 1. Line a 3 Pound Christmas tin with 3 thicknesses of wax paper.
  2. 2. Cream butter and sugar till fluffy.
  3. 3. Beat Large eggs well and gradually add in to mix.
  4. 4. Gradually add in the rum. Mix in the sifted flour, baking pwdr and spices alternately with the fruit.
  5. 5. Place in Christmas tin and decorate with split almonds.
  6. 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
  7. Leave in tin till cool.
