Directions

  1. Cream sugar and shortening. Add in large eggs and beat, then add in buttermilk, flour, salt, baking soda. Last, you add in melted chocolate and vanilla. Put in 3 greased and lightly floured 9 inch cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 min. Yields 16 servings.Delicious with marshmallow frosting.
