- Wash rice by rinsing in a pan of cold water, pick out floating particles and any unhulled grains. Combine ingredients in saucepan with tight-fitting cover. Bring rice to a boil over high heat; stir once or possibly twice; cover.
- Reduce heat and simmer 45-50 min till rice is tender and water absorbed.
- NOTE: Brown rice is raw rice that has not been polished to the white stage normally seen.
