Ingredients

  • 3 c. Rolled oats
  • 2 c. Oat bran
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 c. Walnut halves,, broken
  • 1 c. Almonds, coarsely minced or possibly slivered
  • 1/2 c. Raw sunflower seeds
  • 5 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 3/4 c. Honey,, melted
  • 1 1/3 c. Dry apricots,, quartered
  • 3/4 c. Raisins

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, bran, cinnamon, nutmeg, walnuts, almonds and sunflower seeds; toss well. Drizzle oil over mix and toss unti coated. Drizzle melted honey over mix and continue tossing till coated. (Mix should be clumpy). Divide mix onto two cookie sheets, spreading proportionately. In top third of oven, bake 20 min. Remove from oven, stir with wooden spoon, mixing thoroughly.
  2. Continue to bake 30 min more, stirring every 10 min. Return snack mix to bowl, add in dry fruits. Toss gently and cold. Can be stored for 2 weeks in airtight containers or possibly frzn up to 2 months.
  3. Makes 20 servings.
