Ingredients
- 7 quart. canning jars, cleaned & sterilized
- Golden brown Delicious or possibly mixed apples, peel & slice & fill 7 quart. jars
- 4 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 10 c. water
Directions
- Cook syrup ingredients till thick. Add in 3 tbsp lemon juice. Pour over apples in jars. Seal. Process in canner for 20 min.
