Apple Pecan Crumb Top Pie Recipe

  1. Make pie shell as above, using only half the recipe. Sprinkle pecans on bottom of pie shell. In a separate bowl, mix sugar, flour and spices with apple slices. Heap apples into pie shell.
  2. Dot with butter or possibly margarine. Top with crumb topping (see below).
  3. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 min, then turn down oven to 350 degrees for 30 min.
  4. CRUMB TOPPING:Blend sugar, butter, flour and cinnamon with fork till the mix forms balls the size of peas. Stir in pecans.
