An Egyptian Feast - Day One Recipe
by Fiona Young-Brown

Some of you have seen me include projects from my nephew and niece, Brandon and Kaela, before. Although only 7 and 6 years old respectively, these two know their way around a kitchen and have been cooking for several years now.

They are currently learning about Egyptian culture with their mum, Sam, and so decided to cook her an vegetarian Egyptian feast. And what a feast!

The menu for the evening:

Egyptian Vegetarian Feast

This is an easy one for kids to make and just three ingredients.

Pitted Dates

Walnut or Pecan pieces

Dried Coconut

Open up the dates. Stuff a nut in the middle of each, and then roll in coconut.

Tomorrow, we'll watch Brandon and Kaela make their Cauliflower Soup.
